Good morning. I have good news, we finally have snow here in Turku, not too much though but enough for it to look nice. At the moment it’s also cold enough so the snow stays. The weather should stay like this now, maybe a bit more snow and it would be great. I hope there’s snow in Kokkola at Christmas time, last year there was no snow, just gray all around and it was raining. Yesterday we had Endrive practise. Henry is in Barcelona, Spain until sunday so there were just four of us and we were working on a new song which really really rocks by the way, a short and intense one. If everything goes well we premiere it at TVO on December 13th. I am having an evening shift today so i will go and make myself ready and make some food for work. Hey there, just got home from work. Have to tell you about an funny rendez-vouz i had today at work. I was in the Nokia cafeteria in the morning at around 7.30 am to have breakfast when i ran into an old school friend of mine, whom i went to elementary school, junior high and high school with. Was weird, he was though in a better position than me, he was in financing and had a dayjob. Was just really weird to see him there all of a sudden, someone i haven’t seen in ages. I might go drumming later today, not sure. We’ll see, and i’ll see you later again…

Good morning again. Nokia morning shifts aren’t very nice when you have to wake up at 4am, it’s not very human. This night i slept for about six hours so i am not that tired but still. Have to go and make some food for work in a moment and do my morning rituals, like getting decently dressed and so on. Just sitting here for a while with some music and trying to wake up. As you probably have noticed i’ve been listening a lot to ‘Angels and Airwaves’ lately, their debut album “We don’t need to whisper” really is great, i really recommend. Hits of the Week [48/2007]

1. “THE ADVENTURE” by Angels and Airwaves

This song in particular is my most played track at the moment i’d say. Although the singer is Tom DeLonge (ex. Blink-182) i still like his voice in this band. The music is kinda like old U2 mixed with space ambience. Very atmospheric, both lyrically and musically. Basically; this track rocks!

2. “SONGS OF A DEAD POET” by The Panic Division

This particular band has been a new favourite of mine and this track by them is my definite favourite at the moment. With it’s nice verse and innovative drumbeat in the chorus plus the amazing melodies in the song really makes it one beautiful song. I recommend!

3. “LOST KISSES” by The Accident Experiment

Marcos Curiel’s (P.O.D. guitarist) side project ‘The Accident Experiment’ really hit home with their debut full length “United We Fear”. This track in particular is one beautiful mellow song that really builds up into the end with orchestration and everything. Very beautiful and moody.

Good morning everyone, it’s 4.13 am and it’s rise and shine. I went to bed at 7.30 pm so for once i should be well rested for a morning shift at Nokia. I woke up a few times in the evening/night to some SMS’ i got but quickly fell asleep again. Didn’t have anything in aprticular to write about, just felt so awake that maybe i could come up with something, obviously i was wrong, so i will go and make my food for work ready and myself ready as well. Left Turn

Howdy everybody. Today i had my (or just some moments ago) drivers license final/driving exam and i didn’t pass the first time, i was driving good and almost at the end i made an mistake and that was it. I’m really mad at myself for making such a simple mistake, yet a major one. My next try is on next week’s wednesday, so then i should make it. I’ve learned from my mistakes for sure and next time i’ll pass.

My Grain

He everyone, it’s me again. Don’t have anything to write about really but i thought that as i was sitting here i’d drop a few lines. Yesterday i had some delicious chicken and rice that my sweetie cooked for me, it is one of my favourite foods. I’ve had a bad headache since last night, it’s not as bad as yesterday but still pretty bad. I have my driving exam tomorrow and i really want this to be over by then, i really want to pass on the first try, i wanna drive my own car. But now i’ll go and help out with cooking. current music: the panic divisioin – stay

Hello there everyone. I’m sitting here and Mel is making food so i am not allowed to go and look, will be a surprise for me. I’m listening to Panic Division’s latest album “Songs from the glasshouse”, an album i am addicted to at the moment, great album, love it! It has this kinda old U2 feel to it with all the delay guitars and also some Depeche Mode styled vocals and synth and it sounds kinda 80’s but still very modern rock. I recommend. Don’t have really anything on my mind but i thought i’d write here just for the cause of writing and brag about this album i’m listening to. We have no plans for tonight. But now it smells so good here that i guess food is getting ready. So see you soon again…

And Then Repeat

current music: endrive – i fell asleep

Good ‘morning’. My late morning again thanks to Nokia nightshifts. I forgot to mention in my this mornings post when i got home from work about our practise we had yesterday with Endrive. We started working on a new tune and we pretty much got it finished. It’s quite short but very intense and agressive (what Endrive song isn’t). I really love this song, i came up with nice drum parts that i enjoy playing, thanks to our guitar hero, Niko, for this piece of sh… art. Now i will go and eat something, breakfast at 2.30pm – yay!
