Hello there everyone, been a while again, sorry ’bout that. Today we had our final Endrive rehearsals at our beloved itäharju mordor cave, i’ll miss it. We got a temporary place to store our gear and occasionally practise until we find our own. Some days ago i did the infamous 17 hour shift at Nokia and boy was that exhausting. I went to work at 2pm on saturday and got home at 6am on sunday morning, in between that the clocks where taken one hour back so that’s why it was 17 hour (instead of the regular 16 hour doubleshifts). Now i have one more night shift and then some days off. On Thursday we planned on moving our stuff to the new place, in between of which im going to my german lessons. Will be an interesting morning shift on Friday, that’s for sure. Now i will go and eat something and take a shower and soon head off to work, yay. Take care and see you all again soon. God Bless!

Hey. I forgot to mention in my last post one crucial Endrive news topic. We are losing our faithful practise place by the end of this current month. This legendary place we will have to give up to some other band, due to the change of owner, this totally sucks and we know, nothing will ever compare or even come close to the great one we’re losing. In other news, me and some friends (yet unknown who excactly) are going to see Wentus Blues Band* perform live with american blues/soul singer Barrence Whitfield at Salittu in Suomusjärvi, approx 80km from here. That should be an amazing evening, been way too long since i’ve seen quality blues music from Kokkola’s own boys in WBB*, go Kokkola! Today i had my first night shift of this “round” and probably the best slept first morning shift in a long time. On saturday i’m doing a legendary 17 hour shift, usually they’re 16 hours (double shift) but during the other one, which is a night shift, the clocks are taken back one hour (daylight savings) so the latter shift is 9 hours, so if you do the math 8+9 (usually) equals 17, wunderbar! But tomorrow i have a normal morning shift. Earlier today melanie and me went to the employment office, then we delivered some commercial post and now we’re just chilling, well i washed some clothes which are ready to be put up to dry, so i gotta…

Hello everyone who occasionally read this and my apologies for a quiet period in my journal, lots been going on. And a sorry for those who are waiting eagerly on the new Endrive live video, i’m capturing it off my camera as i’m writing this and will try to get it edited and online by the end of the day. Some live video coming plus some retarded offstage-activities, won’t reveal anything yet (as i don’t know what will be in the final video). I will get back to you soon again. Hey there. Just got back from my morning shift and boy was that an exhausting one, but luckily we had Radio Rock playing and at about 6.30 am (30 minutes into the shift) Tool’s “The Pot” echoed in the factory and that gave me a little boost. Tomorrow there will be radio nova for the upcoming week, torture… Radio rock rules. Now i will go to Endrive’s practise and come back an even more tired and smelly man. Good early morning. It’s almost 4am and i just got up and i’m SO tired, didn’t get much sleep and its time for the first morning shift, always the worst one. I dont know why i came to write now, but anyway. I’m going to have some breakfast and soon start driving to work. Today after work at four (or five) we’re having Endrive rehearsals, I will be pretty beat after that and probably have a real good night sleep next night. As for today, i will be sleepy at work. But now, breakfast and i see you guys later. Toodles!

After The Fall

Hello there. So yesterday me and my friend Valtteri (from work) went to Caribia here in Turku to see The (mighty) Hellacopters on their farewell tour “The Tour Before the Fall”. Opening up for them was also swedish rock band called ‘Demons’, their set was quite decent and a good start for the evening. They played for about 25 minutes or so and the wait for the main act wasn’t too long, thankfully. When the copters took over the stage and opened up with “Hopeless Case of a Kid in Denial” the place, including myself, blew up and for over an hour forward the place was rockin’. Some songs i remember them playing included “Carry me home”, “The Devil Stole the Beat from the Lord”, “Everything’s on TV” and “I’m in the Band” only to mention a few. As encore they did the amazing “By the Grace of God” and “Gotta get some Action (Now!)”. After the show my ears was ringing and voice gone but that’s ok. I really enjoyed the show. I especially enjoyed watching Robert drumming, what an amazing rock drummer! One other aspect of the copters i love is of course the main man, Nicke, his voice is one of the best in this genre and live it sounds incredible. Nicke’s guitar work is also admirable and the dual guitar solo’s, greatness. (I’m sorry, this post is quite messy, just woke up and way too excited over yesterday). All in all, a great experience and a great farewell from one of the greatest rock and roll acts of today.

The Hellacopters (A Bid Farewell)

Hey there again. Forgot to mention something in my last post so i’ll do it now. On friday i will be attending a concert here in Turku, bigger than the normal ones i go to. Swedish rock n’ roll pioneers “The Hellacopters” are coming to town for their farewell tour and i got my ticket. This will take place this Friday. I’m super excited to see them live, possibly the last chance to do so, unless they decide to do a comeback, which i dont hope they do, unless it’s good…
