deep insight – red lights, white lines (album)

Good afternoon everyone again. So yesterday was the third game for Finland in the HWC09 against the great Czech Rep. but as it turned out, even though Finland was trailing by two goals (1-3) they managed to beat the Czech’s by 4-3, what an thriller it was. Me and Markus were supposed to Pikku-Torre to watch the game on the screen, but after recieving an sms that the game wasn’t on the screen, we decided to come over to our place and watch it. During the day yesterday i washed the dishes sorted all the commercials. Before delivering them i went to Skanssi (the new shopping centre in Turku) with Markus and i wont be going there back anytime soon, not my environment, malls i mean. During the day i developed a slight headache which would keep me awake until 4am or so, was really frustrating. Luckily most of it is gone now and getting better.

peace love and understanding,

callisto – a close encounter

Good afternoon everyone who happens to read this. So yesterday was the second game for Finland in the Hockey World Championships (*HWC) against Denmark. Me and my friend Markus went to Pikku-Torre downtown to watch the game on a big screen. Luckily there was quite much people and the mood was just right. The game started off quite bad as Denmark was the first team to score 0-1! There was some girl (obviously from Denmark) because she was going crazy when the Danes scored, well her joy didn’t last much longer. Finland ended up with a 5-1 victory, luckily. As i got home i read online that Sweden had lost against Latvia in a penalty shoot-out, that really made my day – go Latvija! Next game for Finland is tomorrow against the always tough Czech Republic and I think Finliand has a good chance of winning it. Ihanaa Leijonat!

peace love and GO LATVIA!,

in fear and faith – the taste of regret

Hey there. Just came home frome work and I just remembered what it was i wanted to write about some days ago, so i thought I’d share it quickly. I have a new “job” (or assignment at Nokia). I’m some kind of internal logistics person, who brings the assemblers what they want (or in some cases what they dont want, if they wanna be lazy). And our area is so far away from the storage so its quite a walk and especially during busy times its annoying. Today was very calm and relaxed luckily and now i have seven days off, yippee!

peace love and logistics,

Was just surfing around and i already found a photo gallery of Underoath’s show that i missed and read some reviews by people who actually got to be there. Yeah, i know i’m just torturing myself but this was a huge loss for me, like you have NO idea

ghost brigade – away and here

One thing i forgot to mention in my previous post is that I am (finally) working on a new website for pookinet. I went with a template this time rather than building it all from scratch myself. I tried to do so though, but i lost inspiration due to the fact that i suck at making webpages nowadays, they all tend to look the same so i decided to go with a template, a little sneek peek can be found on pookinet.com. Don’t know when the site will be ready, soon hopefully.

peace love and web designing,

dream theater – six degrees of inner turbulence (album, disc two)

Hey there. Yesterdays evening shift was something else, trying to keep my mind off of the fact that Underoath was playing in the evening hundreds of kilometres away and separated by water. I did well until the last two hours hit. I was browsing some traveling magazine in the coffee room on my last break (around 7.50 pm) and there was an article about Gothenburg (where the concert was held) and I’m pretty sure that one photo showed the venue. After this break i was feeling very down and obviously i let it show through quite well.

So Niko wrote me an SMS about a quick late night band practice after work and i was all up for it, and it did cheer me up, thanks. Afterwards Niko’s wallet was missing. We had a little techno party going on in the car and since Niko didn’t find the button to open my electric windows, in order to blast DJ Bobo to the world (or more like a ghost town called Turku), he had feared that the wallet dropped out at that instant. We drove back the exact same route but didn’t find it oustide nor inside the practise place, but luckily it had fallen under Niko’s seat so it was all good again, everyone (more like Niko and myself) werevery relieved about this. I Got home at around 0.30 am or some like that. After a little webbing (email, facebook, msn…) i went to bed, had some trouble and some really weird dreams, that kept me waking up like every thirty minutes or so. But now i’m awake and full of energy.

Today the hockey world championships starts with four games, tomorrow Finland is playing its first game against Norway, it SHOULD be a piece of cake, but we all know how the finnish hockey team can surprise. Today’s highlight game for me is Belarus versus Canada. Always when i’m watching other than Finland’s games im routing for the ‘underdog’, in this case that would be Belarus, so we’ll have to wait and see, game starts in a bit over two hours. Melanie is going out tonight so i’m having lots of Dr.Pepper, popcorn and a bunch of DVD’s and also the hockey games to keep me company, it couldn’t get lazier than that, but after four straight nerver wrecking, knee and leg hurtin evening shifts, i think i’ve deserved it.

peace love and ice hockey,

Hello there fellow readers, how are you all doing? I, personally, don’t feel too good, like mentally. If you remember what today is, if you actially read this journal, today is the day i was supposed to go to Sweden, Gothenburg to be more precise, and witness Underøath play live, but as it turned out, all of my car poolers decided not to go and in these times, with not much money coming in i had to pass. So i’m feeling very down due to that. There was also something else i wanted to write about, but now i forgot it, so i wont force it. Below is a link to the new video from Underøath “Too Bright To See, Too Loud To Hear”, enjoy…
